You know why he’s smiling like that? It’s because he plays for the Detroit Red Wings. It’s because he’s won four Stanley Cups and seven Norris Trophies. It’s because he gets to play with the likes of Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk day in and day out. Nicklas Lidstrom is actually so perfect that when he goes home at night and sleeps he doesn’t have nightmares. He just dreams endlessly about playing perfect hockey. Except, wait, no, those aren’t dreams. That’s his life.
